This website has been born from a life-long passion for sewing.
I grew up in rural New Zealand in the 1970's and 80's, on a dairy farm, a long way from any shops, and well before the internet was invented (I am in denial that I am actually that old!). Any decent clothes shop was a 2 hour drive away, and the choice pretty limited.
So I taught myself to sew,
and with the help of my Grandmother, who was an immaculate sewer, I lay on large sheets of paper on her lounge room floor while she drew around me, and I used that to create my patterns.
I was encouraged to study Business at university, and went on to enjoy a career in accounting.....but my passion for sewing and creating has continually stirred my soul and, during a career break in my late 20's, I completed a certificate in Pattern Making and Design at AIT.
And now this is my dream.
To create a place for women, young and old, to indulge in our own creative journeys -
To share ideas, inspire each other and develop our own unique style.

SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
We ponder how many people would continue to buy cheap clothes if they inquired as to the conditions they were made in.
